We would love to invite all of you to celebrate with polish reggae band Habakuk 25 years on reggae scene.
Show will take place in Supamolly, Berlin - 20.02.2015. After the show will play great afro sound system Batuque Low-Fi.

HABAKUK played last time in Berlin in 2003. So, it was long long time ago...

Here is some info to know what Habakuk is:
Habakuk is one of the longest existing bands in Poland (25 years). They have had an enormous influence on the development of the reggae scene. They were the first band to represent Poland at the Glastonbury festival. The group produced albums with guest appearances of musicians such as Mickey Dread and Don Carlos. They also recorded a vastly popular album with reggae versions of songs by Jacek Kaczmarski, the most important artist of the Polish Solidarity movement.

Habakuk has just finished recording with the vocal group Kalokagathos, which is a choir consisting of seven women signing in the ”white voice” technique. The outcome is a unique, highly energetic combination. Traditional folk songs from different cultures are performed in many languages, including Polish, Ukrainian, Spanish, Finish, Serbian and Greek. Joint concerts of these two groups can be offered for world music, folk and reggae festivals.
