Takiej okazji nie można przegapić! Rzadko się zdarza, by w jednym zespole znalazły się dwie gwiazdy światowego jazzu - gitarzysta Mike Stern i saksofonista Bill Evans to od kilku dekad najwyżej notowani artyści muzyki fusion. Stern studiował gitarę w Berklee College of Music w klasie Pata Metehny`ego; z jego rekomendacji znalazł się w słynnym Blood Sweet and Tears, a pod koniec lat 70.

Grał w grupie Billy`ego Cobhama. W 1981 został członkiem nowego zespołu Milesa Davisa, z którym nagrał "The Man With The Horn", “We Want Miles" i "Star People". Aktualnie Stern/Evans Band wykonuje dynamiczny jazz-rock nasycony ekspresją i szaloną wirtuozerią solistów.

Koncert odbędzie się 27 lipca w Kijów Centrum.

MIKE STERN / BILL EVANS BAND
Mike Stern- guitar, Bill Evans- saxophone, Tom Kennedy - bass ,
Denis Chambers - drums

Such an occasion cannot be missed! It rarely does happen to gather two stars of world jazz in one music band- guitarist Mike Stern and saxophonist Bill Evans have been best marked fusion music artists for a couple of years now. Stern studied guitar at the Berklee College of Music in the class of Pat Metheny`s; with his recommendation got into the famous Blood Sweet and Tears, and in the late 70s he played in the group of Billy Cobham. In 1981 he became a member of the new team of Miles Davis, with whom he recorded "The Man With The Horn", "We Want Miles" and "Star People". His strong, exploding rock solos perfectly matched the concept of the electric jazz preferred by Davis. A member of this formation was also Bill Evans, who got there being just 22. He took part in the same sessions as Stern did, but with Miles played a little longer, recording another album " Decoy". In the following years he also succeeded with other musicians, especially with Michael Brecker and sensational drummer Dennis Chambers, who will be playing with the two artists at the Krakow concert. The fourth member of the super group is a bassist Tom Kennedy, a musician that succeeds in both acoustic jazz and fusion; although he is not as titled as his colleagues are, he can boast of working with Dizzy Gillespie, George Russell, Freddie Hubbard and Randy Brecker. Currently Stern / Evans Band performs dynamic jazz -rock enhanced by crazy expression and virtuosity of the soloists.

The concert will be held on July 27th in Kijów Centrum in Krakow.
