Ten unikatowy projekt łączy współczesną jazzowo-groovową scenę Tel Awiwu z muzyką Żydów marokańskich. Jego centralną postacią jest Raymonde El Bidaouia - ikona żydowskiej muzyki marokańskiej, urodzona w Kasablance w 1943 roku. Od 12 roku życia mieszka w Izraelu, a śpiewać zaczęła po urodzeniu swej pierwszej córki, aby zarobić na życie. Odkryli ją bracia Azulay, właściciele prestiżowej wytwórni płytowej, która promuje głównie muzykę Żydów z krajów arabskich.

Występując głównie w Izraelu, Francji i Maroku, w pełni zasłużyła na miano diwy i jest uwielbiana przez publiczność za jej żywiołową kobiecość i doskonałe opanowanie muzyki. Współpraca z zespołem The Europeans rozpoczęła się rok temu podczas koncertu z okazji  święta Mimuna po zakończeniu Pesach w klubie Teder w Tel Awiwie. Od tego czasu koncertowali wspólnie na wielu festiwalach w Izraelu.

RAYMONDE AND THE EUROPEANS is a fresh and unique collaboration between musicians of sizzling-hot Tel Aviv Jazz/groove scene and the iconic Jewish-moroccan diva Raymonde El Bidaouia. Born in 1943 in Kasablanka, she immigrated to Israel at the age of 12 and started singing after her first daughter was born to make money for living. Before that, she was a factory worker and a sawing lady in the after hours. She was spotted and promoted in her early twenties by the legendary Azulay Brothers who still have a record store/recording label focusing in the mediterranean underground music of the Israeli artist coming from the arabic states .

With years of musical and theatrical career Raymone had sang all over but mostly in Israel , Morocco and France to nothing but crazed up audience appreciating her women power attitude and absolute control over the music. A true Diva of the style. The collaboration with THE EUROPEANS started last year as a Mimuna (the Moroccan holiday celebrating the end of Passover) special at Teder club in Tel Aviv . The goal was to sing the traditional Mimuna songs in a Jazzy beat . and so Eyal Talmudi Quintet was chosen for that . since then the project played some leading festivals across israel and recorded 3 songs soon to be released .
