Tegoroczna, 15. Letnia Akademia Jazzu rozpocznie się 5 lipca i potrwa do 25 sierpnia. Co tydzień w naszym Klubie czekają na Was wyjątkowe, jazzowe koncerty. Na scenie pojawią się światowe gwiazdy tego gatunku, awangardowe zespoły a także niezwykle zdolni, debiutujący muzycy.

W tym roku również możecie kupić karnet na wszystkie koncerty! Karnet obejmuje także koncert otwarcia Charles Lloyd & The Marvels oraz koncerty z cyklu INTL (International Jazz Platform).
Podczas 15. Letniej Akademii Jazzu wystąpią m.in.: Charles Lloyd & The Marvels, Marek Pospieszalski Oktet, Trondheim Jazz Orchestra, Marthe Lea Band, Resina & Eivind Aarset, Suzanne, Heldvig Mollestad & Y-Otis, Team Hedgal, Sofia Jernberg & Alexander Hawkins.

Sofia Jernberg and Alexander Hawkins first performed together at Amsterdam’s Bimhuis in October 2016, under the name Musho – an Amharic word meaning 'Sad Song’. Jernberg’s work frequently takes her to the outer edges of vocal technique, including performances in contexts ranging from Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire to Mats Gustafsson’s Fire! Orchestra. Alexander Hawkins has been described as 'unlike anything else in modern creative music’, and alongside his profile as a bandleader and composer, is a frequent collaborator in duo with Evan Parker, Louis Moholo-Moholo, and Tomeka Reid.

In this duo, they draw on their shared affinity for the music of Ethiopia, having both honed their languages in the company of musical elder statesmen from that country: Jernberg with Hailu Mergia, and Hawkins with Mulatu Astatke.

Team Hegdal is a fantastic creative, communicative and virtuoso Norwegian jazz quartet, playing the music of Eirik Hegdal (teacher at the Intl Jazz Platform 2021). Hegdal is well known for his work with the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra  (especially for the cooperation with saxophonist Joshua Redman). Team Hegdal is his compositional playground for the small band format.„Vol 5” is the first quartet release since „Vol 1” (2010), meaning „Vol 2-4” had all guest appearances, with eminent musicians such as Mattias Ståhl, Ola Kvernberg and Oscar Grönberg. Now, André Roligheten (saxophones / bass clarinet), Ole Morten Vågan (double bass), Gard Nilssen (drums) and Eirik Hegdal (saxophones / clarinet) stand firmly alone. Hegdal has an exquisite melodic and harmonious flair combined with a sometimes absurd humor. The genre boundaries are wide open; a bit from the Messiaen, a bit from Duke Ellington, constantly looking at the jazz history. Welcome into their toy box!
