Tym razem kapela zaprezentowała wideo do piosenki "Gun to the Head".

Za produkcję albumu "Merrie Land" odpowiada legendarny producent pracujący m.in. z Davidem Bowiem, Tony Visconti. Wcześniej Damon Albarn mówił, że album będzie "dość dziwaczną odą do Północnej Anglii, czy raczej Blackpool" oraz, że będzie "post-Brexitowym komentarzem".

Przypomnijmy, że w skład kapeli wchodzą: Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz), Paul Simonon (The Clash), Simon Tong (The Verve) oraz Tony Allen (Africa 70 / Fela Kuti).
