The Flaming Lips poprawiają King Crimson

Zespół wydał w 2009 roku własną interpretację albumu "Dark Side of the Moon" Pink Floyd ("The Flaming Lips and Stardeath and White Dwarfs with Henry Rollins and Peaches Doing The Dark Side of the Moon"). Tym razem na warsztat Wayne'a Coyne'a i spółki trafił longplay "In the Court of the Crimson King" z 1969 roku. W realizacji dzieła Amerykanów wspomogli New Fumes, Stardeath and White Dwarfs, Linear Downfall i Spaceface. Wersja The Flaming Lips otrzymała tytuł "Playing Hide and Seek with the Ghosts of Dawn". Materiału można posłuchać pod tym adresem.

Ostatnia regularna płyta, "The Flaming Lips And Heady Fwends", trafiła do sprzedaży w kwietniu 2012 roku.
