Arctic Monkeys, Lily Allen i Noel Gallagher nominowani do Mercury Prize

Arctic Monkeys, Lily Allen, Noel Gallagher i debiutantka Jorja Smith mają szanse dostać najbardziej prestiżową nagrodę brytyjskiego przemysłu muzycznego.

Wśród nominowanych zabrakło zespołu Let's Eat Grandma z płytą "I'm All Ears", która spotkała się z bardzo ciepłym przyjęciem krytyków i fanów. Na listę trafili zarówno weterani jak i nowicjusze.

Ceremonia przyznania nagrody odbędzie się w Londynie w Eventim Apollo 20 września.

W ubiegłym roku nagrodę otrzymał Sampha za płytę "Process". Wcześniej laureatami byli m.in. James Blake, PJ Harvey, Dizzee Rascal, Pulp, Portishead oraz Antony and the Johnsons.
