Rosendal Garden Party in Stockholm, Sweden presents unique performances by Refused and M.I.A – a limited number of one-day tickets has just gone on sale!

M.I.A. and Refused, two titans who, through their boundary-crossing visions, have shaped the sound of the present. This summer, both are set to perform at Rosendal Garden Party in Stockholm. A limited number of one-day tickets have now gone on sale through Eventim.

After a four-year hiatus from the stage, it's finally time for Refused again. An exclusive concert, Rosendal will be their only performance and their last festival appearance in Sweden. Ever. Few Swedish bands have left a deeper imprint on the international music scene than Refused. What started as world-class hardcore punk and became the hub of a revolutionary subculture, spreading from Umeå to the rest of the world, quickly transformed into something much bigger. With the iconic album “The Shape of Punk to Come”, Refused pushed all boundaries. From its soil, generations of musicians have found inspiration and new genres have been born.

With lyrics as provocative as her beats, M.I.A. stormed the international music scene in the early 2000s. Since then, she has refused to step down from her throne. While the rest of the world has tried to mimic her expression, she has consistently remained at least two steps ahead. M.I.A. is simply the benchmark against which all other boundary-crossing contemporary artists are measured.

"Rosendal Garden Party has always been about breaking patterns and transforming the old festival concept into something new. We have sought inspiration in art, activism, subcultures, and artists we ourselves love for their ability to smash rigid structures. Both M.I.A. and Refused are among these. They have inspired us, and it feels amazing that this year we get to welcome both to Rosendal,” says Johanna Beckman, content manager for Rosendal Garden Party.

Other newly announced artists include the soulful British rock band The Heavy and the Palestinian/French/Algerian/Serbian innovator Saint Levant. Along with today's artist release, the show dates for the artists booked so far are also announced.
